THS Foundation is Offering a STEM program (Engineering Pathway) Scholarship

The Tucker High School (THS) Foundation is pleased to offer a one-time scholarship to a graduating high school senior in the STEM program (Engineering Pathway) this year. Consideration for this opportunity will be given to interested students who meet the eligibility criteria listed below:
 
Eligibility criteria:
  • Must be a graduating THS senior in the STEM program (Engineering Pathway)
  • Must have applied for admission (Fall 2023) as a full-time student in an undergraduate degree program at an accredited college or university for when the application is submitted.
(Note: College acceptance will be confirmed before scholarship funds are awarded.) • Must have a minimum 3.0 GPA
  • Must plan on declaring in a STEM-related field major
  • Must have attended THS for a minimum of 3 years   
 
Applicants must submit the following:
  • Completed Application form
  • Essay entitled “How the THS STEM Program has Influenced my Future Career Path” (500-1,000 words)
  • A copy of most recent THS transcript
 
Applications will be evaluated based on the student’s transcript and GPA, evidence of applying to colleges, involvement in extracurricular activities, and the extent to which the essay provides a clear and thoughtful reflection of the student's experiences in the THS STEM Program and how those experiences influenced the student's career path. The essay represents half the evaluation score. 
 
Application packages must be submitted to the THS Foundation at [email protected] no later than 11:59 pm, April 7, 2023.   
 
Late applications will not be considered. Incomplete packages will not be considered.  Applications that do not meet the eligibility requirements will not be considered and will be returned to the applicant without action.
