Dr. Alain L. Locke Scholarship Awards - Applications Due 4/15/2025

The Brothers of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. ~ Phi Beta Sigma Sigma Chapter will award several scholarships to local graduating minority MALE high school seniors attending an accredited college/university in the Fall of 2025. The Locke Scholarship honors Brother Dr. Alain L. Locke, the first Black Rhodes Scholar and a distinguished member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc.  
 
Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. was founded on the campus of Howard University, Washington, DC on January 9, 1914.  The fraternity’s founders were three honorable young African-American males who organized the fraternity to be an organization that exemplifies the high ideas of Brotherhood, Scholarship, and Service.  The fraternity has four national programs to ensure these high ideas are implemented in the community:  1) Education   2) Bigger & Better Business  3) Social Action, and  4) Sigma Beta Club.  More information on the fraternity can be found on our international website at pbs1914.org.
 
Phi Beta Sigma Sigma Chapter is requesting your assistance with identifying academically talented graduating minority MALE high school seniors to apply for a Locke Scholarship.  Applicants must have a minimum 3.0 GPA with plans to continue their educational pursuits.  Scholarships will be awarded after confirmation of enrollment in an accredited college/university during the Fall of 2025.  We look forward to a mutually beneficial relationship that will assist in advancing the educational opportunities of our youth.
