The course conforms to College Board topics for the Advanced Placement Studio Art 2-D Design Portfolio Examination.  The course requires submission of original works and digital images to be evaluated on quality, breadth, and concentration.  The 2-D Design Portfolio is designed to address a very broad interpretation of design issues.  Students will demonstrate proficiency in 2-D design using a variety of media. These could include, but are not limited to, graphic design, typography, digital imaging, photography, collage, fabric design, weaving, illustration, painting, and printmaking. The course is designed for students interested in practical experiences of art who endeavor to do college-level work.
